A roof does more than sit on top of a house. It’s the first line of defense against Kansas weather, and anyone who has lived through a spring hailstorm here knows exactly how hard that roof gets tested. At Wichita Build Company, roofing isn’t a side offering we picked up to round out a services list. It’s one of the divisions the business was built around, and it shows in how we approach every estimate, tear-off, and installation.
Every roofing job starts with an on-site inspection and a written estimate that spells out materials, labor, and timeline. Once you approve the scope, we schedule the tear-off and set up proper protection for your landscaping, gutters, and driveway. Old roofing material gets hauled away the same day whenever weather allows, because a half-finished roof sitting exposed overnight is a risk nobody needs. New underlayment goes down, flashing gets replaced (not reused, unless it’s in genuinely good shape), and shingles or panels are installed to spec. We finish with a walk-through so you can see the completed work and ask questions before we consider the job done.
Granules collecting in gutters, shingles that are curling or cupping at the edges, daylight visible through the attic decking, or a ceiling stain that appears after heavy rain are all signs worth a call before they become bigger problems. Roofs rarely fail all at once. They tend to give small warnings first, and catching those early usually means the difference between a repair and a full replacement.
