NEW HOME CONSTRUCTION

New Home Construction in Wichita, KS

Building a new home from the ground up is one of the biggest decisions a family makes, and it’s also one of the more involved processes, permits, site work, framing, every trade coming together in sequence. Wichita Build Company manages new home construction from initial planning through final walk-through, coordinating the process so clients aren’t left juggling subcontractors and schedules on their own.

How the Process Starts

New builds typically begin with a conversation about lot selection (if you don’t already own land), budget, and general layout goals, followed by working with a designer or architect to finalize plans if you don’t already have them. Once plans are set, we handle permitting, site preparation, and the sequencing of every trade that follows, foundation, framing, roofing, mechanical systems, and interior finishes.

Our Approach to Building

We treat scheduling and communication as seriously as the physical construction itself. New home builds involve a lot of moving parts, and delays often come from poor coordination between trades rather than any single crew doing bad work. We manage the sequence closely so that framing is inspected and approved before drywall goes up, mechanical rough-ins are complete before insulation, and finish work doesn’t start until the systems behind the walls are verified and signed off.

Quality Control Throughout the Build

At each major stage, foundation, framing, rough mechanicals, insulation, drywall, and finishes, we do internal checks in addition to whatever inspections are required by the local building department. This catches problems early, when they’re a quick fix, rather than after finishes have covered up an issue that should have been addressed weeks earlier.
